The medical, dental and nursing needs of each resident are provided through Caswell's Medical Services Department. The team providing this comprehensive care includes physicians, physician extenders, nurses, lab and x-ray personnel, dental staff, certified nurse's aides and office support staff. The ICF/MR Acute Care Unit at Central Hospital provided 24-hour care when residents are in need of hospitalization, with referral to outside medical resources as indicated. Medical specialists are on contract to provide expert medical consultation both on campus and in the community. The Employee Health Clinic provides care to employees injured on-the-job. Annual screenings of employees are performed to detect infectious disease and to meet industrial regulations. |
